James T. Gladen III

James is the head of Gladen Haynor’s Commercial Aviation practice and a co-founder of the firm. His real-world industry experience and practical approach to complicated issues serve as a foundation for his practice. James represents airlines, finance companies, MROs, fixed-base operators, parts dealers, private companies and individuals with the purchase, sale, lease, maintenance, and services transactions involving aircraft (both commercial and private), engines, fleet equipment and other capital equipment and inventory matters. Prior to co-founding Gladen Haynor, he was a shareholder within the aviation practice group of a Minnesota-based law firm. He started his career in Miami, Florida with an aviation transactions practice firm. He received his B.A. in History from Southern Oregon University and his J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law. He is admitted to practice in Florida, Minnesota, Montana and Wyoming.

Nathan D. Haynor

Nate is the head of Gladen Haynor’s Business Aviation practice and a co-founder of the firm. Nate has wide-ranging experience with business and commercial aviation matters. On the business aviation side, Nate advises and represents individuals, companies and lenders in aircraft ownership structuring (for FAA and tax purposes), acquisitions, sales, and financing. Additionally, Nate advises and represents clients in hangar acquisitions, sales and loans, state tax controversies and opinions involving aircraft, and general corporate matters. On the commercial aviation side, Nate advises and represents investment funds, lessors, lessees, airlines, and MROs in airframe and engine acquisitions, sales, leases, part-outs, consignments, and repair/service contracts. Prior to co-founding Gladen Haynor, he was a shareholder within the aviation practice group of a Minnesota-based law firm and a tax attorney at the Minnesota Department of Revenue. He received a private pilot certificate from the University of North Dakota, a B.A. in Legal Studies from Hamline University, and a J.D. from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell Hamline School of Law). Nate is admitted to practice in Minnesota and with the United States Tax Court.

BETH E. SCANLON

Beth is an experienced transaction and contract manager at Gladen Haynor. Beth’s project management skills and attention to detail are unrivaled, which ensures your matter is organized and runs smoothly from start to finish. She also serves as Gladen Haynor’s International Registry Account Administrator. Prior to joining Gladen Haynor, she was a transaction manager within the corporate, real estate and aviation practice groups of a Minnesota-based law firm. Beth spent much of her early career in similar capacities for Northwest Airlines and then Delta Air Lines following their merger.  She received her B.S. from the University of Minnesota.
